Then it should be detailed reading, I will ask my students to focus on the first paragraph, and I will invite one students to read for us loudly, then I will teach my students the meaning of the sentences, and my students will get the information: Daming’s grandma is going to meet him in New York.
As for the second paragraph, before reading, I will ask a question to practice my students reading skills. Q: Where is Daming going? and what is Daming going to take ? Students may find out the answer are : To the airport. Take clothes, presents, passport etc. In this part, I will also introduce new words such as “passport”, ”ticket”, “airport” by showing pictures.
In the third and last paragraph, I will guide my students to tell me what information did they find after reading together. Students may tell me the contents of the two paragraphs, such as

If my students can not find the whole information, I will add and help them to understand the passage and encourage them to express their own opinion.
So in this way, students can comprehend the passage in detail and their reading ability of getting specific information will be improved a lot.
